LETTER FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Welcome to February everyone! It’s hard to believe that Spring will be here in no time. February is a good month for reflection and caring, and I encourage you to take the time to share in your
child’s wonderful accomplishments and growth!

It is also a good time to remind everyone about the importance of good attendance at school and being ready to learn. Being in school every day means your child won’t miss out on learning. If your child asks to stay home “just because,” remind him/her of what they will miss out on, such as reading group or art class. Explain that he/she can only be absent if they are sick or if there’s a family emergency. Thank you for your support in helping your child achieve good attendance at school!

As a reminder for arrival and dismissal, the police would like to encourage our side lot to be utilized only for buses, and daycare. This will help the traffic run smoother, since all will be entering and exiting from the same place. For the safety of our students, we ask that you refrain from this area during morning and afternoon drop-offs. If you need to park do to a planned conference or if you are volunteering, please know that you are more than welcome to utilize the parking lot in front of the school. You can access the front lot by following the car rider line, and entering the parking lot through the 2nd entrance. You may also use the parking lot closest to the track, and utilize the crosswalk to walk your child to the front of the school. Car rider line has been running more smoothly and quickly since we made some minor changes. Thank you all for your support!

Sincerely,
Crystal Poncho
